Apple Mac Pro Enclosure
It looks like Apple is going to be sticking with a design that is very similar to the current PowerMac G5 for their yet-to-be-released Mac Pro. From the renderings that have been published over at AppleInsider, there do seem to be a few cosmetic changes. Most notably is the addition of an extra media bay slot and the re-location of the power supply to the top of the unit.
The extra slot is more than likely going to be shipped empty to allow users to add their own extra drive, possibly opting for an HD-DVD or Blu-Ray drive.
I am really not too suprised by the fact that they will leave the design of the unit unchanged. It works well for the G5 processors, especially with cooling, and it follows their trend of not modifying the Powerbook enclosure (aside from the addition of the iSight) when it was upgraded to Intel.

I’m sure for the moment they’ll leave the design unchanged, but they’re probably coming up with a new design soon enough. Otherwise, people just might get bored with the old design.
