Thunderbird 0.6

Thunderbird 0.6Mozilla released an update to its Thunderbird e-mail and news application today. Version 0.6 seems to be a great release. It includes an actual installer, like Firefox 0.8, whereas before it was just an unzip action.

I have been using Thunderbird as the default email app on my laptop since January, and I must say I am pleased with it. It is very stable and reliable. I use it to check e-mail for the account tied to this site.

I have installed a few extensions that I really like. The Calendar extension is nice to have since Thunderbird doesn’t come with one built in. I also installed the QuickNote extension that lets me open up a window and pound out a few quick notes when needed. The Weather extension is nice as well, just to see what its like outside.

    Hi there, cool site…
A quick one: I would like to migrate from Mozilla mail to Thunderbird. Any chance you’d have a clue about this? How can I import my existing emails and accounts settings?

    Cheers!
