City Stages 2004 wrap up.

The weekend has come and gone. City Stages is being declared a success after a weekend of great weather and great entertainment. It has already been confirmed that the festival will remain on Father’s Day weekend for next year as well.

I was able to catch bits and pieces of a few more acts throughout the weekend. Saw some of Drive By Truckers Saturday. I will definitely have to look into them more. Really great Southern-rock band. The rest of the day Saturday was spent in and around the Children’s area. We got to see the World Champion Juggler David DiMuzio, and Will really enjoyed that.

Sunday, we headed downtown for a little while towards the end of the day. Sunday seemed decidedly cooler than Saturday with a nice breeze blowing. We caught a few songs of Marc Broussards set, and a little bit of Eric Essex (who is also going to be performing at the Get Downtown event in a few days).

All in all, it was a great weekend and I can’t wait for next year.
