Benefits of CSS on a daily basis
One of the main advantages always mentioned when talking about using CSS for presentation control is the ease of changing the look and feel of a site. Well, I am here to testify to that fact.
I maintain a website for my son. It lets his grandparents, great-grandparents and countless other friends and relatives keep up with his development and growth. Recently, I only post major updates when we make major trips or excursions, like his first trip to Mississippi State for Super Bulldog Weekend, or his first birthday, or just recently, his second trip to the beach.
Occasionally, I will have a new picture that I want to put in the header of his site that shows how much he has grown and what he has been up to. Often times, these new pictures are from a different season of the year: Winter at the Christmas tree farm, Spring on the Drill Field at Mississippi State, or Summer on the beach at Gulf Shores.
The great thing about using XHTML and CSS on his site is that it is very easy to change the color scheme of the site to match the season. Aside from changing the drop shadow background image and the header image, the only thing that I need to change are a few color settings in the stylesheet and it gives the site an entirely different color scheme.
I also had a great experience along this same line when I participated in Grey Tuesday. Because my site uses CSS for all of its presentational elements (colors, borders, etc.), I only had to make a few minor adjustments to my site’s stylesheet and I was grey for a day.

I agree. CSS makes life all the easier. CSS reminds me a lot like getting to know PHP. Mix the two and you’ve got something beautiful.
Off topic: When I first saw the site for William a couple months ago, you really inspired me. I have a child on the way as well and plan on doing the same thing. I also would like to have a blog for my family to keep track of happenings, reunions, and such.
Keep that blog alive and I pray that you keep the wisdom to raise him into a good man.
