RSS for Thunderbird

According to this Bugzilla listing, Thunderbird will soon be an RSS reader as well as a kickin’ e-mail app.

If this is true, that is one more task I can add to what I already use the app for. Hopefully this will make it into the next installer. I can’t wait for this program to hit 1.0.

That would be cool, although I don’t know if it would replace my copy of FeedDemon, but it would make for a worthy addition to any already excellent piece of mail software.

Checkout an extension for Thunderbird called Forumzilla 0.5.1 by Myk Melez. It adds feed reading capabilities to Thunderbird. Pretty simple. Pretty cool.

UPDATE: That link seems not to work. Try this to get Forumzilla There’s also one called Sage that I just found. Never tried it though.

Personally, I’ve been keeping my eye on #10713 (opened July 1999!), and #176079 (opened Oct 2002). I hope they both make it into a soon-upcoming release.

The URL’s above are supposed to link to idXXXXXX (number). The {equals} sign was removed.

Those would both be great additions to Firefox Ryan. I noticed that the new popup blocker in IE for XP SP2 RC2 blocks the flash-generated popups.
