NetscapeFirefoxIE

Here are some screenshots of the new Netscape prototype that uses Firefox as it’s backbone. Screenshot 5 shows the full browser. I used to think Opera had the ugliest interface. This is just horrible.

Someone is going to be offended that they call that a browser. They ought to be ashamed of actually defaulting a green interface. They need to go back to the drawing board on this one. I never did like netscape and this one just takes the cake.

  2. Jeff Smith has spoken:

I don’t know who they think they’re going to impress with a UI like that. I mean, damn, that’s ugly. I guess some things never change…

  3. Brian Behrend has spoken:

So is it basically just Firefox with an uglier gaudier default theme? I mean, is it based on Firefox or IS IT Firefox?

  4. Jeremy Flint has spoken:

Brian: From what I understand, it is based on Firefox in the same way that Netscape 7.2 is based on Mozilla 1.7.

  5. Brady J. Frey has spoken:

Someone in the design department needs a new job — that is the ugliest, the most cluttered interface I’ve yet to seen next to some of those free programs I’ve gotten off macupdate.com — and that’s actually very few, most of them are beautiful.

Why would anyone use an ugly thing such as that? Atleast make it pretty to use if you’re trying to compete.
