Upcoming Speaking Engagements
There will be several occasions in the next few months where I will be standing on a stage somewhere talking to people.
May 5: IPSA Web Design Panel
If you happen to read this site and are in Birmingham (or will be on Thursday, May 5), the Internet Professionals Society of Alabama (IPSA) will be conducting a panel discussion on Web design trends.
Myself, Scott Schablow of Luckie and Company, and Chris Elliott of Intermark Interactive will be participating, along with Ed Noles, who will be moderating. Should be a fun discussion of design trends, individual processes and where we see web design going in the future.
This is sort of a new meeting format for IPSA and one that we are hoping works out well enough that we can have more panel-style discussions. If you want to attend, be sure to RSVP online so that IPSA can get an accurate head count and secure a room large enough for everyone. You can even get a box lunch from Jason’s Deli for $10.
June 2: Blogging, RSS, and PR
Andy Harp and I will be giving a presentation to the IPSA group about Blogging and RSS and how those two mediums can be used for PR and Marketing on a corporate level. Andy will be discussing how blogs have become credible sources for information as well as help companies achieve their overall PR strategies. My part in the presentation will be mostly technical, talking about how to set up a Blog and the different blogging platforms available.
July 10: More Blogging, RSS, and PR
The IPSA presentation will be a warm-up/test run for the breakout sessions we will be giving at the annual conference of the Southern Public Relations Federation (SPRF). Instead of a 1 hour presentation, we will each be doing a 45 minute session, so there will be more time to cover the basics.
All three should be a blast and I am looking forward to them immensely.

Sure would be cool if we could live webcast and archive presentations like this…so those of us in places far far away could still drop in for a virtual listen!
Saw your pic in flickr…looks like a good crowd. Even some girls in the audience! Woo hoo!
