Vulcan Park Gets Unplugged

If you happen to be reading this and live in (or will be in) the Birmingham area next Friday, May 13, make your way up to Vulcan Park at 11:30 a.m.

At that time, Vulcan Park and TechBirmingham will be holding a press conference to officially make Vulcan Park one of the highest profile hot spots in the Southeast. They are inviting any and everyone who can to bring a laptop and enjoy lunch on the lawn and the free wireless internet connection. Read the press release. Pass it on.

We encourage everyone to arrive early with your laptop to stake your wireless spot on the park grounds. Blankets and lawn chairs are welcomed and encouraged.

I mean, how can you go wrong reading your favorite web sites with the best view of the city just over the top of your monitor? This should make for a great transparent screen photo.
