Have you checked out &lt;a href="http://www.feedfire.com" rel="nofollow"&gt;Feedfire&lt;/a&gt;? It lets you 'screen scrape' an RSS feed from any webpage. The free version can't be tweaked, but if you pay for it apparently you can tweak their parameters to make sure the feed collects the right links. 

I've been using it to read the local paper here, The Decatur Daily, who also doesn't publish an RSS feed. This feed &lt;a href="http://www.feedfire.com/site/rss.cgi?ChanContentId=006585" rel="nofollow"&gt;here&lt;/a&gt; scrapes this page &lt;a href="http://www.decaturdaily.com/decaturdaily/news/index.shtml" rel="nofollow"&gt;here&lt;/a&gt;.

There's some problems following links out of the feed that require manual editing, but I think I could fix that if I were to create another feed, this time without including the index.* at the end.

Also, for example, the &lt;a href="http://www.drudgereport.com" rel="nofollow"&gt;Drudge Report&lt;/a&gt; can be scraped for an &lt;a href="http://www.feedfire.com/site/rss.cgi?ChanContentId=001298" rel="nofollow"&gt;RSS feed&lt;/a&gt; that works better than the DrudgeReportArchive's feed.
