Hurricane Dennis

So, Hurricane Dennis (the Menace) is still 2-3 days away from the Alabama/Mississippi Gulf Coast. However, after the experience of Hurricane Ivan last September, today Governor Riley issued a Mandatory Evacuation for the Gulf Shores area.

My mom got a call from the realty company that they were renting a house from for next week and was told not to even come down. I am still waiting on word of whether or not the conference in Biloxi that I was supposed to speak at on Monday will be cancelled, but all indications are certainly pointing that way.

Riding out hurricanes can be quite an experience. Growing up in Houston, I’ve been thru my share. Here’s hoping that Dennis isn’t too much of a menace.
