Hurricane Dennis Damage

Well, Hurricane Dennis has come and gone (on the coast at least), and there was minimal damage to the Gulf Shores/Fort Morgan area. Enough so that I may be able to salvage my planned vacation there later this week.

The Pensacola area was not as fortunate. Dennis made landfall as a strong category 3 hurricane around lunch time this afternoon.

The Pensacola News Journal has been updating their online photo galleries throughout the day with pictures of the damage.

Here in Birmingham, we are experiencing winds of up to 50 miles and hour and a steady rainfall that will probably let up some time after midnight.
