Google Talk
Since it was pretty much all over the interweb yesterday, I don’t think many were truly suprised at the release of Google’s chat client, Google Talk. Heck, a good many people were already connecting to its jabber server last night using Trillian, GAIM, iChat, and Adium.
I got to work this morning (since there is no Mac client) and downloaded it on my PC. The installer is pretty small, chiming in at less than 1mb. The interface is nice and clean. I really like the “conversation” style of the chat window. if you say something, and then type something else before the other person replies, it doesn’t keep dropping your username in there, it just amends it to what you had already typed.
The only drawback I can see to it right now is that it is exclusive to Gmail users. If they could open it up to allow you to add your AIM, MSN, Yahoo, etc. accounts, it could easily become my PC chat client of choice.
The only solution for that right now is to add it to my Trillian accounts and just run it through there. Otherwise, I have one-to-many chat programs open.

Google Talk
Like Jeremy said, just about everyone has been posting about the new release of Google Talk today. The hype has been built up for the past week but I must say that I am actually impressed with this client.
First of all, the client itself is very small…
