Tweaking Google Talk

I just posted a link over on ForeverGeek that shows various ways of tweaking Google Talk.

One thing that stood out to me is that you can make text bold by adding an asterisk before and after the word you want bold ( *Bold Text* ) and underscores around text you want italicized ( _Italicized Text_ ). Those are the same commands used in Textpattern when you have Textile editing enabled, also made famous by the 37Signals product Backpack.

Just thought that was interesting.

FWIW, Mozilla Thunderbird has also supported this style of markup since its earliest days.
