Google added a new feature to its Maps tool today. You can now use the scrollwheel on your mouse to zoom in and out of the map. In addition to that, you can clear any map markers by clicking the scrollwheel/button.

The zoom feature also works with the new right-click functions on the MacBook and MacBookPro trackpads. Just put two fingers on the trackpad and move up or left to zoom in and down or right to zoom out.

Update: According to this post over on the Google Maps Blog, they are also going to include this function in the API v2.
