We had a great meeting at IPSA today with Lee Farabaugh on the subject of Information Architecture. If you are interested in user experience topics, I suggest checking out the Birmingham UX Group.

The Birmingham UX Group explores the ideas and disciplines of User Experience including User Research, User-Centered Design, Information Architecture, Information Design, Interaction Design, Visual Design, and Usability. Their goal is to build awareness of User Experience and increase its presence in Birmingham and surrounding areas.

The group is currently meeting very informally at DAXKO headquarters about every 4 weeks on Wednesday from 12 - 1:30pm.
