Ecycling Day in Birmingham

A few years ago, TechBirmingham started Ecycling Day here in Birmingham as a way for individuals and businesses to get rid of their old computers and peripherals without having to chunk them in the land fill. Each year, they receive lots of computers, and often times they will take the ones that are still in working order and use them in computer labs.

Ecycling Pile

We decided it was time to clean out our PC graveyard this year, so we have a pretty big pile of stuff to take. I think we have 6 or 7 old towers, an old fax machine, and 3 or 6 boxes of old video cards, RAM, SCSI and Parallel cables, and even some old 10Base-T hubs.

If you are in or around Birmingham and have old computer stuff you want to recycle, make your way to Vulcan Park today. Check out the Ecylcing Day website for a list of stuff they do and do not accept.
