I have been on an icon kick for a week or so now. In addition to finally downloading all the free icons sets i have received over at IconBuffet, I have been itching to grab a few sets to keep in reserve for projects that might require them.

Dan Cederholm has just released a new pixel font called Chameleon16. Based on his extremely useful icon set of the same name, Chameleon16 offers a pixel font in the same style, as well as the 70 icon Chameleon Original set as alternate characters, all for only $40.

Chameleon16 is a TrueType font, compatible with Mac and Windows operating systems. If you are interested in font creation techniques, check out Dan’s write up on the process of creating the font. Very interesting, indeed.
