WordCamp Birmingham

Take some passionate WordPress users and folks interested in blogging from throughout Alabama and the Southeastern United States. Add an incredible weekend of activities here in The Magic City and of course, barbecue!

Andre Natta of The Terminal is heading up efforts to put on the first WordCamp event in the Southeastern United States - right here in Birmingham. WordCamp Birmingham will be held September 27 and 28. We are still working on securing a location, but should be able to announce that within a week.

I will be speaking on at least one panel, WordPress as a CMS, and may also be talking about powering your church website using WordPress.

Also, the other conference that was scheduled to take place the same weekend, South By Deep South (SxDS) has been pushed back to at least February 2009 to allow for more planning time.

Stay tuned for more details on WordCamp Birmingham.

Looking forward to the panel discussion - I’ve been using WordPress as a CMS for a while, with great results. See you there!
